Beyond our home community there is our church community. The next place we spend our time, besides home.
Our church community is like our second family. I can't imagine going through life without these people. If I told you all the ways these last few years how they were a complete extension of God's hand. Honestly, living in community with your Church family is the greatest gift you can receive. If it is a healthy, truth spoken fellowship then I pray you reach out to each other.
Our friends and circles of friends are a community aw well. Maybe many are on your other communities; church, neighborhood, school... What a blessing to call someone friend.
My morning started off with a hop down the road to the local cafe. I met a group of 4 other ladies. We have been getting. Together for about 6 months now .just 1 x a month to connect. 2 of us homeschool, 2 work at the school and 1 is in her last few months of nursing school. This last friend called out to us to meet so she could have community while she was so busy with school. She longed for fellowship. We need community !
Once I returned home, my phone had exploded with. Multitude of text messages from about 5 different people and needs. Prayer requests, checking in on us, someone wanted to take me to Costco and bless us with groceries, and a play date for a child. Besides all the blessings poured upon me today, the greatest is that I spent time physically, spiritually in prayer or technically in message with some dear friends.
Monday I start a Bible Study on "Living in Community". www.lovegodgreatly.com-I wanted to have a picture of this before I started to compare as I go forward and dig deeper into the word . I am hoping to be at a point by spring where my home is welcoming and able to let community in at any time.
On a side note our community, county, state and region is rejoicing over our Seattle Seahawks, whom just won their first of 2 play-off games. It's pretty exciting in the Seahawks Community. Go Hawks !!
