Community

When I first think of community , I look at around at where I am living. We live in an amazing area. Really the are 2 State Parks within 5 minutes of our home. Both are on the Puget Sound. It's a beautiful area. It's rural, the people like to connect with you

Beyond our home community there is our church community. The next place we spend our time, besides home.
Our church community is like our second family. I can't imagine going through life without these people. If I told you all the ways these last few years how they were a complete extension of God's hand. Honestly, living in community with your Church family is the greatest gift you can receive. If it is a healthy, truth spoken fellowship then I pray you reach out to each other.
Our friends and circles of friends are a community aw well. Maybe many are on your other communities; church, neighborhood, school... What a blessing to call someone friend.
My morning started off with a hop down the road to the local cafe. I met a group of 4 other ladies. We have been getting. Together for about 6 months now .just 1 x a month to connect. 2 of us homeschool, 2 work at the school and 1 is in her last few months of nursing school. This last friend called out to us to meet so she could have community while she was so busy with school. She longed for fellowship. We need community !
Once I returned home, my phone had exploded with. Multitude of text messages from about 5 different people and needs. Prayer requests, checking in on us, someone wanted to take me to Costco and bless us with groceries, and a play date for a child. Besides all the blessings poured upon me today, the greatest is that I spent time physically, spiritually in prayer or technically in message with some dear friends.
Monday I start a Bible Study on "Living in Community". www.lovegodgreatly.com-I wanted to have a picture of this before I started to compare as I go forward and dig deeper into the word . I am hoping to be at a point by spring where my home is welcoming and able to let community in at any time.
On a side note our community, county, state and region is rejoicing over our Seattle Seahawks, whom just won their first of 2 play-off games. It's pretty exciting in the Seahawks Community. Go Hawks !!

Happy New Years 2015

We welcomed in 2015 with some of our dearest friends The Carroll's and the Forsythes' . We have been ringing in the new year together for at least 15 years. At one point we lived next door to the Carroll family, which is how it all started. Though, we moved away 11 years ago. To the far side of the county๐Ÿ˜ฅ and across 3 bridges (as our little guy counts distances) .

There is something special about friendships that stand the test of time and distance. An hours drive away is not so devastating, although if you have had the privilege to drive in the I5 region of the Puget sound, an hours drive is truly devotion to your destination.

What a blessing to arrive and unload our van for an overnight adventure, with 6 people moving in for 24+ hours of fun memories and the only groaning comes from Mr Kitty.๐Ÿ™€

It's so fun to connect and just pick up where we left off the last time we were all together. There is never that awkward unknown moment of talking.
God has truly blessed us with many good friends through the years. Our New Years family is the anchor to all our other friendships.

My hopes for the New Year is to live life seeking joy in each day. Focusing on God's mercies that are new each and every day. Strengthening our friendships and family relationships is the goal for the year. Nothing else has more importance than building strong relationships surrounded by Gods love.

I hope that as I just share our daily chaos,it will be a reminder to find the joy within the crazy ,fun, long, weary, exciting, happy, sad and completely unknown journey ahead.๐Ÿ’œ

Here we go !

I am looking forward to sharing ...yay..been wanting to blog for a while and the time has come to put my thoughts out there. 2014 comes to an end with so many blessings and unknowns ahead. I anticipate all that our Heavenly Father has prepared for our family in 2015. We have spent the past year praying for new doors to open for Jerry and as of yet, nothing specific has been defined. Yet,I trust the Lord as he speaks and stirs our hearts towards something that will bring Glory to his name.HE is the great story writer and we will journey forward as he guides us through each page and chapter. We covet your prayers and companionship along the way. Love and May your day be joy filled.~TammySue
